In the midst of writing papers, planning lessons, keeping up-to-date career-wise, and just living life in general, my parents added in a new bit of chaos into their lives: a new puppy named Hudson. Over the summer my sister was surprised to come downstairs to find our sweet Beau had moved on to a pain-free existence. We were completely devastated...moreso than I ever remember feeling sad about a dog. {My pain was exacerbated by my parents' pool guy asking me if I were the maid. But, that's a different story.} I never thought my mom would get over the loss of Beau. She even had dreams about him coming to her to tell her it's ok to move on. So it was a complete shock when they told me that they were looking into getting a new dog.
My sister, dad, Kris & I all went out to Canton, TX to pick up cute little Hudson. He was dubbed "the active one" of the litter. My mom, terrified of having a lethargic dog, jumped at the chance to take him. Since he's come home, he's apparently lived up to his name. But, he is adorable & quite the personality. He may not quite respond to his name, always ask to go out to use the bathroom, or maintain self-control around pants & shoes, but he does know how to sit! Hopefully one day he will have the sweet temperament that Beau had. Regardless, we are glad to have a furry new family member!

Luckily, he only smokes when he's outside. {wink}
